Vinnytsia Bread Products Plant No. 2 became the Ukrainian leader in the export of flour

Vinnytsia Bread Products Plant No. 2, which is part of the Ukrprominvest-Agro group of companies, once again consolidated its position as the leader of the Ukrainian flour milling industry. The plant finished 2023 with the highest indicators in Ukraine - 110,000 tons of flour produced. Also, the enterprise became the largest exporter of the industry, with a share of 20.7% in the total export of flour products.

France, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Israel, Romania and Moldova became the main foreign sales markets for VKHP No. 2 products in 2023. In 2019 - 2023, the volume of flour exports in Ukraine decreased by 4.8 times - from 365 thousand tons to 76 thousand tons in 2022. However, Ukraine has become the second largest supplier of flour in the EU. This is confirmed by a fresh review of the flour market, prepared by the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (RST Mineconomy) together with the State Enterprise "Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development" within the framework of the Export Booster project.

In terms of the geographical structure of flour exports by Ukraine in 2022, as a result of the naval blockade of the Russian Federation, a reorientation of Ukrainian producers to European markets took place instead of the markets of the Middle East and Africa. Thanks to this, in 2022, Ukraine entered the top three exporters of flour to EU countries. Among the countries that became the largest sales markets in 2022, the top included Poland, Romania, Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia, as well as the Republic of Moldova. In 2022, Moldova itself became the largest market for Ukrainian flour with an export volume of 21,000 tons.

It should be noted that in 2022, Ukraine exported almost 75 thousand tons of wheat flour, reducing the volume of deliveries to foreign markets by 29%. According to the results of 2022, Ukraine took 23rd place in the international ranking. The downward trend accompanied domestic exporters for the third year in a row.
