HISTORY OF THE FACTORY

Poltava Poultry Farm was organized in 1956 on the basis of a poultry farm. Its initial capacity is 20,000 laying hens, which were housed in three one-story poultry houses with a floor content, with an annual production of 4 million eggs.

Since 1969, the expansion of the factory began due to the development of a new site in the village of Stasi for industrial poultry farming of eggs. This year, the first three one-story poultry houses for 10,000 laying hens each are put into operation. At the same time, the construction of auxiliary facilities is underway: boiler rooms, gas distribution points, a high- and medium-pressure gas pipeline, a block of office premises, sewerage and water supply facilities, and others.

In 1970, four poultry houses for 60,000 laying hens were put into operation, in 1971 - two poultry houses for 40,000 laying hens, and in 1972 the capacity of 250,000 laying hens was reached. By this time, the reconstruction of three existing and the construction of two new poultry houses of the parent flock on the site of the breeder for the production of hybrid eggs is being completed. The number of seats is up to 75 thousand.

In 1977, the factory began a second increase in capacity. In three years, the reconstruction of 20 existing poultry houses with the transfer of poultry to the cellular content and two new four-story poultry houses for 195 thousand laying hens each.

Since 1978, the poultry farm has been the main enterprise of the Poltava Poultry Production Association.

Since 1980, the capacity of the factory is 682 thousand laying hens. At the industrial site in the village of Stasi, a slaughterhouse is being built with a line for full consumption of poultry and a refrigerator, a workshop for sanitary slaughter of poultry and processing of poultry waste with the production of meat and bone meal. In order to establish an enterprise with a closed production cycle, the factory in 1980 began to develop a new site and construction of a site for growing hybrid young from 1 to 120 days. The first poultry house for 108 thousand young animals is put into operation.

During 1981-1982, four more four-storey poultry houses were put into operation, and the population is up to 520 thousand heads of simultaneous planting of young animals for cultivation.

Currently Poltava Poultry Farm is an enterprise with a closed production cycle:

1. Reproducer for the production of hybrid eggs for 104 thousand seats. The parent herd is housed in KP-15 cell batteries.

2. The area for growing repair young stock of the parent herd from 1 to 119 days for 90 thousand seats is located 10 km from the city of Poltava and 6 km from the village of Ivonchentsi. It consists of two poultry houses of 50 thousand seats with a cage BKM-3.

3. Growing area of hybrid repair young stock from 1 to 119 days for 556 thousand seats, where BKM-3 cellular batteries are installed. Repair young stock is grown in five four-storey poultry houses.

4. Near the growing zone there is an incubator for 16 incubation cabinets of IUF-90 type with simultaneous laying of 720 thousand eggs.

5. Zone of industrial production of table eggs for 908 thousand seats, of which 392 thousand are placed in two four-storey poultry houses. The flock of laying hens is contained in cellular batteries such as KKT and BKNZ.

6. A slaughterhouse with a line of full gutting of birds K-7-SCL-41 with a capacity of 1500 heads per hour and a refrigerating chamber up to 110 tons of meat is located separately in this area. Workshop on sanitary slaughter of poultry and processing of poultry waste with the production of meat and bone meal with a capacity of 700 kg per hour.

Achieving optimal performance results should perform a number of important technological processes, but their implementation does not always guarantee success. The most important indicator is the genetic basis that is laid in the bird. This is one of the conditions for successful management of the industry, something that must be constant and unchanging, which can be relied on.
